Night sailing and 'Not a Bonfire' evening - Friday 16th October.

Boat set up and decoration from 4pm.. Racing 6pm – 11.00pm. £6.00 pp

Teams will be allocated by Helen (to spread ability!). We will be using club Visions or Bahias
in teams of about 4 /5 people. The night race is a continuous simple triangular course and
teams can decide their own running order, with boats coming in to swap over team
members.

All teams will have to help with safety cover.

Light dinner of ‘hot dog’ and onions. (veg. option available),  toasting marshmallows over the
open wood bonfire and maybe some sparklers.

Bring plenty of fairy lights to decorate your boat.

Swim Safe with OnBoard is a unique partnership between the RNLI, Swim England, and the RYA that equips young people with vital water safety skills alongside their first experience of sailing or windsurfing.

The aim is to gain:

• Essential survival skills such as floating, treading water, and calling for help
• Gain confidence in open water environments
• For those who haven't, experience using a buoyancy aid before taking the next step onto a boat or board.

The course is free and open to any junior/family members aged 7-18, you do not need to be able to swim.

Buoyancy aids will be provided. Wetsuits are required but will not be provided.

We would like to run a course on Wednesday 28th October during half term.
There will be either a morning and afternoon session or just one afternoon session. Or we may have onland in the morning and in water after lunch.
There will not be any sailing
I will not know the exact session format until 23rd September ( when I have completed in water training!).

The course is on land and in the water.
Spaces will be limited.
