Level 2 Power Boat Course

Joining Instructions

Venue :- Tamworth Sailing Club

Times:- The course will run from 9.00 – 5.00 on Dates not yet set  for 2012

All students should bring appropriate clothing and buoyancy aids or life jackets and be ready to go on the water promptly at  9.00

Aim

To develop confidence and competence in the boat handling skills of course participants so that they can use a range of powerboats and display all the basic skills necessary to participate safely.  Successful students will be able to demonstrate the ability to handle boats at both slow and high speeds and will be able to launch, recover and handle boats in a range of circumstances including rescues, towing, mooring, coming alongside, leaving and manoeuvring in confined areas.
