RYA DAY SKIPPER- SHORE BASED COURSE
The course will give you a comprehensive introduction to chart work, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship for Competent Crew and Helmsman. You will find this course invaluable if you want to learn how to start making decisions aboard.
1. General The course is designed to be a preliminary requirement before taking the Day Skipper practical course.
The course will last for 20 weeks, culminating in a test at the end. It will give you an understanding of navigation, weather, tides, ability to brief a crew and make a passage plan in tidal waters.

5. The course fee (£150) incorporates the pack of two charts, the test paper and an almanac.
