Training at Tamworth Sailing Club
We are proud to be an RYA Training Centre offering a range of training courses for adults and juniors. No previous sailing experience is necessary as both the Level 1 (adults) and Stage 1 (juniors) courses are designed to introduce sailing in a safe, enjoyable and informative way.
Level 2 (adults) and Stages 2, 3, 4 (juniors) build on the introduction and soon you will be sailing confidently on your own.
If you then want to take it further, usually in your second season (or later if you prefer), we also run the Seamanship Skills and Start Racing courses.
We also run training courses to introduce both power boat and safety boat skills. We are a self help club so these are valuable skills for our members to develop over time.
As a sailing club we can only offer training courses to our members, however new members are always welcome. It is easy to join, and it is still a very cost effective way to learn to sail and to gain your RYA certificates. And remember that club members booked on a training course can continue using the club training boats at no extra charge right through until the clocks change in the autumn (see the section "use of club boats" under "sailing" for further details).
A benefit of training with Tamworth Sailing Club is that you get ample opportunity to carry on sailing after the training course is complete, enabling you to practice your new found skills and really build confidence on the water.
For more information and dates of scheduled courses see the menus on the left hand side.
