TSC Use of Club Boats.

Tamworth Sailing Club owns a number of boats. These are primarily intended for use on training courses, However, when NOT in use for training they MAY be available for TSC members who hold valid FULL (Family) or CONCESSIONARY memberships and are qualified to a suitable competence level. New members can continue to use a club boat for 4 weeks after a course has completed, After this time the member must either provide a boat or hire a club boat.  Hire or use of a club boat outside the training course must be in accordance with the following:-

RYA Level 2 and Start Sailing 3 may hire any of the boats.

RYA Level 1 , Start Sailing 1 & 2 may hire only Oppi, Topper, Pico, Old GPs and Bosun.

These boats are NOT to be used as a strong wind alternative when it is thought that either members may be overpowered in their own boats, or the conditions are such that damage to boats is likely.

Current Boats are: 4 x Optimist, 5 x G.P. 14, 7 x Topper, 2 x Laser ,1 x RS Vision, 2 x Laser Bahia, 4 x Bosun (ASA), 3 x Terra, 2 x Laser Bug

The boats are only available during normal Club opening times, except when training courses are taking place.

Hiring periods pre 1330hrs, post 1330hrs.

If members wish to hire a boat they should approach a Committee member who will allocate a boat, register and explain the hiring conditions and take the hire fee.

Topper, Optimist, Terra, Bug or Laser £2 for under 14s or £4 for adults

G.P. 14 No's 1 to 4 or Bosun £6.00 Fixed Fee
